Diaspora Insurance promises celebrity meet-and-greets and big prizes at ZimFest 2026

Festivalgoers attending ZimFest 2026 this weekend will have more than music to look forward to, with Diaspora Insurance unveiling a packed programme of celebrity appearances, competitions and cash giveaways at its exhibition stand.

Returning as one of the festival’s principal partners, Diaspora Insurance says visitors to its stand will have the chance to meet and take photographs with some of Zimbabwe’s best-known personalities, including Comic Pastor and Miss Universe Zimbabwe, while also entering competitions to win prizes and cash.


The attractions form part of the company’s presence at what is widely regarded as the biggest annual gathering of Zimbabweans in the UK diaspora.

This year’s festival marks a new chapter for ZimFest after organisers relocated the event from the Hertfordshire Showground, where it had been held for the past five years, to Delapré Abbey in Northampton.

The move, announced in May, was driven by the new venue’s improved transport links, increased parking capacity and easier accessibility for visitors travelling from across the UK.

Music lovers can also expect an expanded entertainment programme, with organisers adding several artists to an already impressive lineup headlined by Zimbabwean music superstar Jah Prayzah.

New additions include Jnr Spragga, Tamy Moyo, Delroy and Tsungai Tsikirai, promising a full day of live performances celebrating Zimbabwean music and culture.

Since its launch, ZimFest has evolved from a cultural gathering into one of the largest events on the Zimbabwean diaspora calendar, drawing thousands of visitors from across Britain and overseas each year.

The festival showcases Zimbabwean and Southern African music, food, art and culture while providing an opportunity for communities to reconnect and celebrate their heritage.

Redcliff Management spokesperson Tawanda Chiwira said ZimFest had become much more than an entertainment event for many attendees.

“For many people, ZimFest is more than a date in the calendar. It is a connection to home, community and shared identity,” he said.

This year’s edition will also include a special tribute to Hilton Mendelssohn, one of the festival’s founding members, whose vision helped establish ZimFest as a home away from home for Zimbabweans living in the UK.

Organisers said the tribute would celebrate his leadership, legacy and the lasting impact he made on the Zimbabwean community through the festival.

“…alongside the celebrations, we will also take time to remember Hilton Mendelssohn, whose contribution to the festival remains part of its story,” Chiwira added.
