Horror As Father Burns Two Children To Death

A horrifying domestic tragedy unfolded in Eastview, Mabvuku, where a 24-year-old man allegedly set a house on fire, killing his two children in what police suspect is a case of filicide.

The victims perished in the blaze and were burnt beyond recognition.

The suspect, Gift Muyengwa (24), is alleged to have attacked his wife, Tsitsi Zuze (22), following a dispute over an undisclosed matter. He reportedly stabbed her before setting their cabin house on fire with the children inside.


Police say Muyengwa later allegedly stabbed himself, suffering severe injuries.
Both Muyengwa and Zuze were rushed to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, where they remain in critical condition receiving treatment.

Authorities have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The motive behind the alleged attack is still being established.
