War Veterans Mourn Cde Bombshell

By A Correspondent| War veterans are mourning the passing of liberation war veteran Cde Runesu Geza, affectionately known as “Bombshell.”

In a condolence message, Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) National Chairman Cde Andrease Ethan Mathibela described Cde Geza as an illustrious son of the soil whose life was defined by courage, conviction and unwavering patriotism.Zimbabwean legal services

The association extended its deepest sympathies to the Geza family, saying they had lost a loved one whose commitment to truth and justice shaped both his character and public life.

Cde Geza was remembered as a fearless and principled voice who remained loyal to the values of the liberation struggle until his final days. At a time when silence would have been easier, he chose to speak out against corruption and nepotism, driven not by personal gain but by deep love for the country and its people.

“To fellow war veterans and comrades, his passing is a heavy blow,” Mathibela said, adding that Cde Geza reminded the nation that freedom is a responsibility that demands honesty, accountability and moral courage.

“As we bid farewell to Cde Bombshell, may his soul rest in eternal peace. A patriot has fallen. History has gained a courageous witness.”
