Wicknell Chivayo Splashes US$250,000 and Brand-New 2026 Ford Ranger on Jah Prayzah for Birthday

Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has once again made headlines after celebrating Zimbabwean music superstar Jah Prayzah's birthday with extravagant gifts worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

To mark the occasion, Chivayo gifted the award-winning musician a brand-new 2026 Ford Ranger Platinum and US$250,000 in cash, describing the gesture as a token of appreciation for Jah Prayzah's outstanding contribution to Zimbabwean music and culture.

The announcement was made in a lengthy post on X, where Chivayo hailed Jah Prayzah as one of Zimbabwe's greatest musical icons. He praised the singer's consistency, creativity, and ability to blend contemporary sounds with African heritage, saying his music has inspired generations and strengthened national pride.

Chivayo highlighted several of Jah Prayzah's biggest hits, including *Ndini Mukudzei*, *Mibvunzo*, *Ruzhowa*, and *Kuno*, revealing that *Kuno* holds special personal significance for him.

Beyond his musical achievements, Chivayo commended Jah Prayzah for using his platform to address important social issues, including drug and substance abuse and gender-based violence. He noted that the artist's influence extends far beyond entertainment through his involvement in awareness campaigns and performances at national events.

As part of the birthday surprise, Chivayo instructed Jah Prayzah to collect his fully paid 2026 Ford Ranger Platinum from a Harare dealership, along with the US$250,000 cash gift.

Adding a humorous touch to his message, Chivayo joked about rumours surrounding Jah Prayzah's alleged upcoming wedding, saying he might attend the ceremony even without an invitation. He also mentioned legendary chimurenga musician Thomas 'Mukanya' Mapfumo, declaring that he would be prepared to finance a substantial performance fee if the music icon were to perform at Jah Prayzah's wedding or any future private celebration.
