Zimbabwean Afro-fusion musician Andy Muridzo and his estranged wife, Chido Manyange, popularly known as Mai Keketso, have exchanged fresh accusations as their long-running separation and custody dispute continues to play out in public.
The latest developments unfolded on Friday, 26 June 2026, after Andy Muridzo appealed to activists and well-wishers to help mediate the ongoing conflict between the former couple.
According to H-Metro, Muridzo revealed that he had obtained a peace order from the courts and expressed hope that outside intervention could help restore peace between them.
"I am asking activists and well-wishers to help us find peace. I have since obtained a Peace Order from the courts," he said.
The musician also levelled serious allegations against his former wife, claiming she had brought other men into her home in the presence of their two children, aged nine and 11. He further alleged that she was surviving through sex work.
These allegations have not been independently verified.
### Mai Keketso Rejects Allegations
Responding to the claims, Mai Keketso strongly denied the accusations, describing them as false and emotionally driven. She thanked several social media personalities, including Ketina, Doreen and Doreen's mother, for offering guidance during the couple's difficult separation.
"I saw what Andy posted and I was puzzled. Thanks to people like Ketina, Doreen and her mother for counselling us through social media," she said.
She maintained that both she and Muridzo need professional counselling rather than continuing to air their personal differences on social media.
### Custody and Child Support Concerns
Mai Keketso also accused Muridzo of failing to consistently support their children since she was granted custody in 2023.
She alleged that she reclaimed custody after Muridzo struggled to provide stable accommodation, claiming the children were frequently moved from place to place, affecting both their education and emotional well-being.
According to Mai Keketso, the musician last visited the children about five months ago. She questioned why he had recently requested photographs of the children before posting them on social media.
"Does that bring food to the children's table?" she asked.
### Calls for Counselling
Dismissing the allegations that she engages in sex work, Mai Keketso said Muridzo later admitted to one of his associates that he had made the comments while angry.
She insisted that her personal finances are private and urged her former husband to prioritise his responsibilities as a father instead of making accusations online.
"He needs counselling, and we both need help," she said.
The public dispute between the former couple continues as they remain divided over parenting responsibilities, child welfare and unresolved issues following their separation.
