Flamboyant Zimbabwean preacher Passion Java has confirmed that his 10-year marriage to Ethiopian-born beauty Lily Tsegaye has officially collapsed, putting an end to months of swirling speculation.

The outspoken cleric broke his silence in a statement posted on his official Facebook page, announcing that the couple had “officially dissolved” their union.

“This decision was not made lightly, but with maturity, understanding, and peace,” Java said. “Though our marriage has come to an end, we remain friends and committed partners in raising our three beautiful children.”

Rumours of trouble in paradise began last year when Lily reportedly wiped her Instagram page clean, deleting photos of the preacher — a move that sparked intense online debate among followers.

While Java did not reveal the cause of the split, he insisted the separation was amicable and that both parents remain fully involved in their children’s lives.

“We will continue to co-parent with love, respect, and unity. Divorce does not change my responsibility or dedication as a father,” he said.

The high-profile breakup marks Java’s second divorce. He separated from his first wife, Yasmin, in 2015 shortly after meeting Lily.

Java and Lily famously tied the knot in a lavish, social media–buzzing ceremony in Jamaica in 2016, an event that cemented their status as one of Zimbabwe’s most talked-about religious power couples.

Despite the split, Java emphasized that family and faith remain central to his life.

“We are deeply committed to the callings God has placed upon our lives,” he said, appealing for prayers and understanding from supporters as they enter what he described as a “new season” marked by “grace, faith, and friendship.”
