Enterprise Car Sales owner Madzibaba Tendai Chipaga says approximately 15 vehicles supplied to the late businessman Wicknell Chivayo remain unpaid for, as dealerships reportedly seek to recover millions of dollars from his estate.

The revelation comes amid controversy surrounding claims that sungura musician Taruvinga Manjokota, popularly known as Sugar Sugar, was asked to return a Toyota Fortuner allegedly gifted to him by Chivayo.

Chipaga has reportedly denied that the musician was instructed to surrender the vehicle, saying the matter remains unresolved pending the completion of estate procedures.

According to a statement shared by DJ Ollah, Chipaga said the dealership was waiting for the executor to finalise the necessary processes. He also suggested that someone may have taken advantage of the uncertainty surrounding the estate to frighten the musician.

Sugar Sugar, known for his hit song Mudododo, was reportedly advised not to worry about the vehicle for the time being.

The outstanding payments are part of wider claims involving three Harare car dealerships seeking to recover a combined US$5.1 million allegedly owed by Chivayo.

A report published by ZimLive on October 20, 2026, identified the dealerships and their reported claims as follows:

- Faramatsi Motors: US$2.4 million.
- Exquisite Cars: US$1.4 million.
- Enterprise Car Sales: US$1.3 million.

The reported total is US$5.1 million, equivalent to approximately R83.76 million.

According to the report, the arrangements allowed Chivayo to obtain vehicles from dealerships and settle payments later, typically within three months.

The reported debts have brought renewed attention to the status of vehicles distributed by the businessman and the process of resolving outstanding financial obligations through his estate.

However, the claims remain allegations reported by the cited publications, and the final position will depend on the relevant estate and payment records.
